    Description

    Generally, ball mill rubber liners are designed in nine different shapes to meet various needs, including wedge, wave, flat convex, flat, stepped, long, rudder, K-shaped, and B-shaped. In addition to rubber liners, ball mills also frequently use manganese steel liners.

    Difference between rubber and metal liners

    Manganese steel liner are typically made of high-manganese alloy steel, a remarkably durable and wear-resistant material. Its main characteristics include high hardness and outstanding abrasion resistance, making it suitable for use in high-impact and abrasive environments.

    Ball mill rubber liners are typically made of rubber or rubber composites materials. Rubber is elastic and cushioning, making it effective at absorbing shock and noise.

    However, in wet ball mills, traditional high manganese steel liners are not suitable for use as mill liners. Manganese steel liners corrode and wear quickly, leading to high steel consumption. In contrast, rubber liners are suitable for manufacturing liners in wet ball mills and are not affected by the corrosive wear of the slurry.

    Rubber Liners Advantages

    Good Wear Resistance
    Rubber liners have excellent wear resistance. In ball mills, high-wear-resistant rubber liners have a lifespan approximately 1.5 to 2 times longer than that of manganese steel lining plates. The inherent elasticity of rubber significantly reduces intense impact forces.
    Low Energy Consumption, Cost Savings
    The physical density of rubber is one-sixth that of manganese steel, reducing the weight of the drum and alleviating the motor load. Save electricity and reduce costs.
    Low Noise
    Different from manganese steel lining plates, the material of rubber lining plates helps reduce noise.
    Good sealing performance
    Compared to metal lining plates, rubber lining plates offer better sealing performance, preventing slurry leakage and thereby reducing unnecessary material loss.
